The Ministry of Health has noted a continuous high level of influenza-like cases and acute respiratory illness as part of the usual flu season.
Permanent Secretary for Health and Medical Services Dr James Fong said the ministry’s surveillance systems showed that there was a high level of influenza-like illness and acute respiratory illnesses since early December.
“We have escalated flu testing in selected sites and monitored hospital admission data to keep watch on trends,” Dr Fong said.
