The Long Wait Is Over

Prominent Suva Lawyer and newly elected Parliamentarian, Filimone Vosarogo says the long wait is finally over.

Mr Vosarogo's response follows the successful appointment of People’s Alliance leader Sitiveni Rabuka as Prime Minister.

Mr Rabuka was elected by 28 votes while FijiFirst Leader Voreqe Bainimarama received 27 votes.

Mr Vosarogo said people had anticipated the votes in Parliament for quite a while.

"Like everybody, we had waited in anticipation for the votes because there was no clear indication of the winner," Mr Vosarogo said.

"But we are glad it's all done with, we have a new Government, and I'm sure this is what everyone in Fiji has been waiting for, Merry Christmas."
