Some disgruntled youth members of The People’s Alliance have rallied against Lynda Tabuya in a number of Facebook posts-so much so that it has prompted Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka to comment.

Through his personal account, Mr Rabuka mentioned the names of members who decided to take their claims public after being refused an audience by the Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection.

“Dou kauta cake mai e na nodatou Bose Vakaisoqosoqo, ke sega, ‘tou na veivakalewai tu ga va qo (Bring it up in our AGM, if not, we’ll continue to judge each other like this).” Mr Rabuka commented.

One post from former president of PA Party Western Youth and Nadi District, Lesi Taucilagi, claimed they were promised well-paying jobs by Ms Tabuya but have yet to see it happen. Ms Taucilagi goes by the Facebook name: Tinai Susau Lecy Taucilagi.

The faction of the former youth members added that Ms Tabuya was the ‘main instigator’ for most of the party’s problem.

Well-placed sources within the party say the feud goes beyond the promised job opportunities.

Ms Taucilagi last night claimed: “I am fighting for the ones that are silent, they have been employed, then they were kicked out again just because of what she (Tabuya) has been doing."
