Tikoduadua: RFMF Never on Red Alert

Tikoduadua: RFMF Never on Red Alert
The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) was never on red alert, said the Minister for Home Affairs Pio Tikoduadua.
While confirming this on Thursday, Mr Tikoduadua said the country was never in a particular level of threat post-election for the military to be on red alert.

He said RFMF Commander Major-General Ro Jone Kalouniwai assured him that everything was normal.
“Besides the ongoing work that Police do in the ordinary course of their duties, the general law and order situation in Fiji is normal,” Mr Tikoduadua said.
He said people in Fiji continued to work and live peacefully.
“If any citizen is aggrieved, they can be assured that the rule of law is paramount. Any threats to that will be dealt with swiftly and with full force of Fiji’s law enforcement agencies.
