Acting Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Nancy Tikoisuva has supported the decision to reinstate Laisani Tabuakuro as Assistant DPP.
She said no formal complaint was submitted through the internal disciplinary processes to warrant her termination.
Ms Tikoisuva’s response followed an email containing documents sent to the media by Director of DPP Christopher Pryde on Friday. He questioned how Ms Tabuakuro was reinstated when he had not renewed her probation.

Responding to questions from this masthead, Ms Tikoisuva said Ms Tabuakuro’s termination was the subject of a formal complaint lodged with the Ministry of Employment by Ms Tabuakuro against the ODPP.
“The ODPP breached its Human Resources Policy and Manual, in relation to the process of Ms Tabuakuro’s termination and she was not afforded an opportunity to respond to the allegations made against her,” Ms Tikoisuva said.
“It is essential that such matters follow due process to ensure fairness, transparency, and integrity.”
Ms Tikoisuva expressed her concerns about Mr Pryde’s conduct in releasing such confidential correspondence related to an employee’s personal file to Grubsheet and media, without the express consent of the individual concerned.
“Disclosure of personal employment records without express consent is a serious breach of confidentiality and privacy standards,” she said.
Ms Tikoisuva is calling on Mr Pryde to advise the Chief Justice Salesi Temo of his intended date of resumption of duties, in compliance with the orders issued by the President in January.
