The Then India Sanmarga Ikya (TISI) Sangam Fiji interim committee will engage its council management to develop an action plan for a way forward.

This year the 93rd TISI Sangam Convention gets underway at Churchill Park in Lautoka tomorrow (Friday).

Interim chairman Parveen Bala said: “We will have an interim committee, council of management meeting whereby all delegates and the chairman of the respective committees will participate.

“The agenda for the meeting is the outcome of the Court of Appeal. The reports by the chairman and the CEO from the head office, and the way forward for Sangam.

“All in all, it is a packed activity.

“I see the convention would be an ideal forum to put thoughts and views to formulate worthy action plans and also will give us the opportunity to ponder on some of the issues confronting us as an organisation.”

He said a great amount of work had gone into organising this four-day convention after a lapse of two years.

“It is our wish and hope that members will participate to the fullest in the activities during the convention, bearing in mind the objective of TISI Sangam Fiji,” Mr Bala said.

“I join my national executive in extending a warm welcome to all branch officials, delegates and well wishes of Sangam to the 2022 Annual Convention.”

The event is expected to be hosted by Lautoka District.

“It is time we need to acknowledge them too. In this age we are in some may have gone but not forgotten.”
