Police have confirmed that the investigation file relating to the death of three-year-old Elijah Dibola following a traffic incident in Sigatoka last month has been forwarded to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).

It is alleged that on the morning of January 29, Elijah was crossing the road with his grandmother when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 38-year-old woman.

Questions have been sent to the ODPP regarding whether charges will be laid.
