A high-ranking police officer is under scrutiny as further investigations unfold regarding a separate matter that could potentially lead to additional criminal charges against him.

The latest development stems from a screenshot of a Facebook message attributed to a senior officer of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), implicating the top cop in obstructing a joint drug raid operation scheduled to take place in Nadi.

According to the senior RFMF officer, the high-ranking police official allegedly in the operation by contacting the officers involved and instructing them to halt their activities abruptly and told them to "F. .. off".
