Tourism Fiji Appoints Dr Paresh Pant as New CEO
He will take over the reins from outgoing CEO Brent Hill when he officially assumes the role in mid-October.

Tourism Fiji has announced the appointment of Dr Paresh Pant as its new Chief Executive Officer, following what the Board described as a rigorous global recruitment process.
He will take over the reins from outgoing CEO Brent Hill when he officially assumes the role in mid-October.
Dr Pant, who has more than 25 years of leadership experience in tourism, hospitality, and aviation, previously served as Tourism Fiji’s Regional Director in both New Zealand and Australia, where he spearheaded visitor growth and crisis recovery strategies.

Tourism Fiji Board Chair, Ilisapeci Matatolu, said the Board was confident in Dr Pant’s leadership.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Viliame Gavoka, also welcomed the appointment.

I am confident Dr. Pant will bring in strategic leadership and vision to further strengthen Fiji’s global brand while supporting a more resilient and competitive tourism industry.”
Dr Pant holds a PhD in Tourism Strategy and Aviation Management from Griffith University in Australia, along with postgraduate qualifications in commerce and marketing from New Zealand universities.
Reflecting on his appointment, Dr Pant said he was honoured to lead Tourism Fiji during a period of growth and opportunity.
“I am honoured to be entrusted with this role at a time when Fiji continues to shine as one of the world’s premier tourism destinations,” he said.
“Tourism is at the heart of Fiji’s economy and identity, and I am committed to building on our strong foundations to ensure long-term, sustainable growth that benefits our communities, industry partners, and the nation as a whole.”
Mr Hill, who has led Tourism Fiji since 2021, has been credited with steering the industry through the COVID-19 pandemic recovery and strengthening Fiji’s visibility in international markets.
