If you are buying a vehicle from:
- private individual;
- Motor Dealer;
- Finance Bank or a Lease Company; and

You must carry out a check to ascertain if there is any outstanding TINs on the vehicle before the sale is concluded.
If you buy a vehicle with TINs you will be responsible for paying off the TINs before a vehicle transfer of ownership is processed.
LTA has reminded that all TINs are to be paid within 90 days.
