Traffic signals in the Central Division have been shut down for safety reasons.

This is due to the ongoing tropical depression and a possible tropical cyclone alert surrounding the nation.

Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) said the shut down is to prevent the controller from getting damaged.

The controllers will be reinstalled and signals turned on once the weather improves.

FRA urges members of the public to exercise extreme caution on our roads, avoid speeding, be courteous, and always keep a safe following distance.

For more queries, FRA can be contacted on toll free number 5720 or email info@fijiroads .
