Troops From Sinai Return
With smiles on their faces, the troops deplaned and were elated to be back home.

Members of the returning 2nd Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment Batt 39 arrived safely home yesterday after spending close to 16 months in Sinai, Egypt serving under the Multinational Forces and Observers an international peacekeeping force overseeing the terms of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel.
Led by Commanding Officer (CO), Commander Ledua Yaco, the contingent safely landed at the Nadi International Airport onboard a Royal Australian Air Force aircraft. With smiles on their faces, the troops deplaned and were elated to be back home.
At hand to receive the incoming Batt 39 was the Directorate Peace Support Operations, Chief Staff Officer Admin Lieutenant Colonel Jone Verebasaga. They will now go into 14 days of mandatory quarantine before reuniting with their families.
