Troops Ready To Do Fiji Proud In Australian Humanitarian Mission

Fijian troops on their way to Australia to assist in the bushfire crisis said they are looking forward to this mission.
Thousands of people have been displaced in Australia as homes and properties were damaged in the bushfire that has cost Australian lives.
23-year old Ordinary Seaman (OS) from the Republic of Fiji Navy, Samuela Daunilakeba said the mission was important to him.

He said it was an opportunity for Fiji to assist Australians affected by the crisis.
“This is my first overseas mission and I am really excited,” he said.
“I am hoping to perform to my very best and assist in whatever way I can. I am proud to represent Fiji in reaching out to those who are in need.”
Private Osea Cawi, of the Third Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment, said the success of the mission would cement Fiji’s commitment in the Vuvale partnership.
“The Vuvale partnership is very important and I am obliged to serve and assist in any way I can,” Mr Cawi said.
“We are proud to assist our brothers who have been affected by the bushfire crisis.”
