Tudravu: No Desire to Enter Politics. Yet
Mr Tudravu’s 39-year policing career ended on Monday when he officially handed back all his police uniforms to the force.

Former Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has cleared the air on his political standing saying he has no intention of pursuing a political career at this stage.
Speaking to the Fiji Sun yesterday, he said:
“As of now, I’m just waiting for the border to open so I can visit my village and the farm.”

Mr Tudravu’s sudden resignation two weeks ago on August 12th garnered speculation that he might be joining Sitiveni Rabuka’s proposed party, The People’s Alliance.
When asked if there was any truth to it, he said no.
Mr Tudravu’s 39-year policing career ended on Monday when he officially handed back all his police uniforms to the force.
Shortly after he took to social media to acknowledge God for his blessings and protection in the duration of his career, adding that he was excited for the new opportunities that lie ahead.
“I exit the Fiji Police content with the knowledge that I have given my very best,” Mr Tudravu said.
“As I pack away my uniform for the final time, I am saddened, but excited with the journey that lies ahead for me and my family.”
He wished the Commissioner of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho and all serving Police officers well and advised the young officers not to lose sight of the importance of the Police uniform.
“I will always support the organization until the day I am called to be with my maker.
