Tudravu Receives COI Report, Malimali Allegations Under Probe

The Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu, has confirmed receiving the Commission of Inquiry report from the Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, following their meeting this morning.

"A dedicated team from the Criminal Investigations Department has been tasked to analyse the report and make recommendations on the next course of action with regards to investigations as per the findings of the report," he said in his statement to the media.

Mr Rabuka had earlier indicated to the Fiji Sun that investigating arms of government will carry out necessary investigations into the findings and recommendations of the Commission of Inquiry.

Allegations against the former Commissioner of Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC), Barbara Malimali, contained in the COI report will be investigated by Police.
