Tudravu welcomes information shared on criminal networks
Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu says allegations raised by a former police officer overseas will be investigated by a dedicated unit, as senior detectives also work through cold cases.

Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu has welcomed the sharing of information about the workings of criminal networks in Fiji.
Mr Tudravu was responding to a question on a former police officer, residing overseas, revealing information about local drug syndicates and police drug operations.
“These are all information that are already with us. It is new to the members of the public, but it has come out now,” he said.

“I am thankful under my leadership that all these things are coming up. I took it positively because it’s part of our trying to be transparent on the things that we do.”
Mr Tudravu confirmed that there was a unit in place to investigate these allegations.
“They will be investigating allegations that have been stated by a former police officer, and I thank him for speaking up, and I thank him for the decision that he has made to directly link to the investigators.
“The investigation will be done in line with what he is stating.”
Meanwhile, the Commissioner said a team of senior detectives were working on cold cases.
