TUI NAMOSI VISITS PRESIDENT

The vanua ko Nabukebuke paid a courtesy visit to the President and Tui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu at the State House in Suva on Wednesday.
They were led by the Vunivalu na Tui Namosi (Namosi paramount chief), Ratu Suliano Matanitobua.
Ratu Naiqama said their visit was a profound gesture of solidarity and support, reaffirming the deep-rooted ties between the vanua (people) and the nation’s leadership.
“I sincerely thank the vanua ko Nabukebuke (Namosi) for this noble gesture,” Ratu Naiqama said.
“Your presence today is testament to the unity and respect that form the foundation of our nation.”
Ratu Naqaima addressed the importance of traditional support in preserving Fiji’s rich cultural heritage.
“The vanua has always played a crucial role in upholding our values and traditions. It is through such engagements that we strengthen our national identity and move forward together.”
As part of the traditional welcome, the vanua ko Nabukebuke presented a i sevusevu and wase ni yaqona vakaturaga.
The Tui Namosi’s traditional herald said the visit was to formally present their support and pass well wishes to Fiji’s Head of State, President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu.
