A nurse sustained injuries after an ambulance and a twin cab vehicle collided in Sawani on Serea Road in Naitasiri on Tuesday afternoon.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the drivers of the vehicles were questioned and released in relation to the accident.
The pictures posted on Facebook showed the twin cab had tumbled into a drain whereas the ambulance’s front portion was damaged.

The post stated that the ambulance was carrying a patient from Vunidawa Hospital to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital. It is alleged that the twin cab vehicle overtook a bus on a bend and hit the oncoming ambulance from the opposite lane.
Ms Naisoro said the nurse sustained minor injuries, however, the patient and the driver escaped unharmed.
She said the twin cab driver has been questioned and released as investigations continue.
