Two Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) officers have been dismissed after being implicated in a drug-related incident uncovered during a recent police operation.

According to the FCS, the officers were found at a raided property where authorities seized drug-related paraphernalia, including digital scales, sealers, and zip-lock bags with suspected meth residue.

An internal investigation revealed that the two officers had been renting accommodation at the premises, which is owned by a known drug dealer and former Suva Remand Centre inmate.

It was also established that despite being married to other partners, they had been cohabiting at the location. FCS Commissioner Jalesi Nakarawa reiterated the service’s strict zero-tolerance policy on misconduct, stating that any breach of ethical or legal standards would be met with immediate action.
