Two Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) nurses have been suspended on half pay over allegations they fraternised with inmates.

In a statement today, the FCS said the suspensions took immediate effect and would remain in place pending the outcome of a Board of Inquiry.

The inquiry will be convened to determine the facts surrounding the allegations in line with internal disciplinary processes.

The FCS said it maintains a strong stance against corruption and is committed to addressing undue familiarity among officers to strengthen accountability.
