UN Top Rep: It’s Not Chinese Problem But A Human Problem

The president of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly has stressed that coronavirus is not a Chinese problem, but a human problem.
Dr Tijjani Muhammad-Bande was responding to a question raised by a student who attended International School Suva, on the issue of coronavirus and how people were making it out to be a racial issue.
“I ask you to listen to those who know what they are talking about,” Mr Muhammad-Bande said.

“We should listen to what the World Health Organisation puts out as it is important and adhere to it.”
He says that it was unfortunate that people were trying to make this a national or ethnic problem.
“Today it could be coronavirus, tomorrow it maybe something else. However, it does not give you any right to demean others.”
