Leaving Ramada Hotel in Jerusalem around 3pm last Saturday will be an unforgetable journey home for Pastor Apenisa Ralulu.
It was after the closing of the Feast of Tabernacles that started September 30 and ended October 7.
Pastor Ralulu was among the Fiji delegation that attended the event.

Sharing his experience Pastor Ralulu said it was around 4.30pm when a missile was launched from Gaza into Israel.
“I was boarding the plane where all the chaos happened, we could feel the ground shake and hearing the destruction as buildings was demolished,” Pastor Ralulu said.
“I have always watched it on TV and reading it on the newspaper about Israel being attacked but to witness it was experience beyond my imagination.”
Pastor Ralulu said the attack was normal terror tactics by the Hamas troops to attack Israel on Shabat which was the day of rest for many Israelites.
“They knew the day and time to attack which was not new to many residing in Israel,” he said.
“But for me I believe it was faith and prayers that was my comfort in the midst of chaos.”
Pastor Ralulu said the true Fijian spirit was displayed among many members of the delegations that were still there when Israel declared war on Hamas.
“Prayers and the bond between Fijians really stood out in the midst of a war we kept leaning on to each other with prayers and faith,” he said.
Witnessing such an event taught him many lessons to be grateful always.
“To live in a country like Fiji where we are free from wars is great, but it’s a challenge for us Christians to keep Israel in our prayers as they wake up every day faced with terrorism from their enemies,” he said.
“It was faith that brought me safely back to Fiji.”
Organisers of the tour expect the charter flight to arrive in Nadi today.
