Union Issues A March Deadline To China Railway Engineering Group

About 200 aggrieved employees of the CR5G’s Suva, Rewa and Korovou teams were served letters on February 9, detailing the reduction of work for staff due to the limited budget placed upon the company by the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA).

A decision has been made to give the China Railway Engineering Group No 5 (CR5G) until March to come up with a solution for employees who have their work days reduced.

This was confirmed by the Construction, Energy and Timber Workers Union of Fiji (CETWUF) national secretary, John Paul.
