UNPol Awards Two Of Our Senior Police Officers
It’s the first time two officers from Fiji were certified at the same time.

Another milestone was achieved for Fijian police officers serving in the United Nations (UN) mission areas where two became certified instructors.
They are Acting Superintendent of Police (A/SP),Timoci Saqanaivalu and Acting Assistant Superintendent of Police (A/ASP) Fawini Kado.
A/SP Saqanaivalu is deployed to the UN’s Interim Security Forces for Abyei (UNISFA) and A/ASP Kado to the UN’s Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) On January 11, 2024, the two officers were certified by the UN as “Certified Instructor for United Nations Selection Assistance and Assessment Team – Assessment for Mission Service.”

They attended the Training in Entebbe, Uganda.
This is an achievement for the Fiji Police Force.
It’s the first time two officers from Fiji were certified at the same time.
A/ASP Kado is the sixth woman from the force who has been certified as SAAT/AMS Instructors and A/SP Saqanaivalu is the second male officer to be certified.
The force acknowledges the achievement of the two officers.
