Three of the tanks were from the Ministry of Education for the schools in the two islands.
Mr Leweniqila said the islanders had been advised to boil their drinking water by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The WAF workers he said would help in the distribution of water to the islanders.
Meanwhile the director NDMO has called on the villagers in the affected village on the two islands to help boat crews in unloading their food ration.
He said some soldiers from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) were supposed to go and help in the unloading of food rations but they would go later to construct the damaged houses.
RFMF Engineers’ Operations Officer Major Sanaila Vitukalulu said as soon as they receive the report on the damaged houses they would prepare the material and leave for the islands.
