The Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) announced yesterday a three-year partnership deal with Vision Motors as their official vehicle supplier.

Speaking at a press conference in Suva, FRU administrator Simione Valenitabua said the sponsor- ship with Vision Motors came at a perfect time.

“We are due for an upgrade as our fleet has done its kilometres and now we need to take it to another level kilometre-after-kilometre,” the Suva lawyer said.

Valenitabua acknowledged Vision Motors for its visionary leadership and its strategic planning in their partnership with the Fiji Rugby Vuvale.

“You cannot value this partner- ship based on the monetary realisation values of the vehicles.

“It has a lot of significance and plays a big role in the development of rugby, the transportation of our staff, our players during the Vanua or Skipper competition especially the FIJI Water Flying Fijians in their preparations for the World Cup, “he said.

“Vision Motors will be able to use our players for their promotions and use their logos on all vehicles supplied to FRU as a marketing tool across Fiji.”

Vision Motors general manager and dealer principal Ajay Lal said their partnership would see FRU take full access to six large brand new motor vehicles.

“This fleet of motor vehicles is richly designed, developed and tested to perform on the toughest terrains.

“I am satisfied that FRU needs these vehicles to support development at grass-roots rugby and assist in logistical needs across the country.”

Vision Motors manager of strategic business development Sai Tokalau said he was thankful to Fiji Rugby for allowing them to contribute in the development of the sport.
