Visitations To Patients At Labasa Hospital Not Allowed

A statement from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services said personal items for patients admitted at the Labasa Hospital can be dropped off at Tent 6 on the hospital premises.

Visits to patients admitted at the Labasa Hospital are not permitted until further notice.


With the increase in COVID-19 positive cases in the Northern Division and for the protection of patients and staff at the Labasa Hospital, the public in Labasa and the Northern Division have been advised that the notice became effective yesterday, 26 December 2021.


A statement from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services said personal items for patients admitted at the Labasa Hospital can be dropped off at Tent 6 on the hospital premises.

Hospital staff will ensure the items are delivered to the patient.


Category 4 patient (bedridden or immobilized) are permitted in hospital but the carer must be fully vaccinated, and he/she will stay through the duration of the period of admission for the patient.
