Vote Wisely Or Get Kicked In The Gut
They don’t have the people’s interest and the nation’s interest at heart. These are our leaders whom we voted in to look after our interests.

Fijians must vote wisely in the 2026 general elections. Otherwise, we can expect the same old treatment and get ‘kicked in the gut’ despite public uproar and feedback to Government.
Unity Fiji party leader Savenaca Narube was reacting to Parliament’s decision last night to adopt the Emoluments Committee Report.
This means significant increases in the salaries of members of Parliament except for the Prime Minister and Minister for Finance.” It begs the question, whose interest are they there for?

It looks like its their own interest, not the people it’s the wrong timing, it’s the wrong thing to do at this time yet they’ve gone ahead.
Mr Narube described the decision as an echo from the FijiFirst government - when the people have said something else, but the previous Government rubbishes it and ignores it completely.

They are just lining up their pockets like the previous Government. Mr Narube also posed the question, “What are we going to do?”
He urged voters in the upcoming general elections to vote wisely.
