Vusonilawe confirmed police operations head
Commissioner says selection based on merit and experience.

Kasiano Vusonilawe has been confirmed Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Operations, taking charge of the operational arm of the Fiji Police Force.
Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu said the decision followed recommendations from a specially convened promotions board comprising internal and external members, ensuring the appointment was based on merit.
ACP Vusonilawe, of Nasealevu Village in Macuata, has accumulated 32 years of experience in law enforcement.

During his career, he has served as Station Officer, Officer in Charge of the Nausori Policing District, Divisional Manager Community Policing, Divisional Police Commander Eastern, Director Training and Director Operations.
A former Vunisea Secondary School student, he joined the Force in 1993 and has undertaken extensive professional development.
His qualifications include a Diploma in Leadership, Management and Policy from the Staff College in Lembang, Indonesia; Strategy and Policy Studies at the Indonesia Resilience Institute (Lemhannas), Jakarta; and a Command Course at the Malaysia Police Institute for Leadership and Management.
ACP Vusonilawe said he was thankful to the Commissioner for placing trust in his leadership and was committed to upholding excellence in all aspects of police operations.
“This appointment is an opportunity to continue supporting the men and women of the Force and ensuring the safety of all communities in Fiji,” he said.
The promotion underlines the Fiji Police Force’s focus on merit-based appointments and strengthening leadership within its operational divisions.
