It’s never been easier to walk your kids to school.

Parents in Wailoku expressed similar sentiments, saying that the road’s development has transformed their lives. Mikaele Roi, who walked his granddaughter home from St John’s Primary School, said the gravel road was the only problem he faced.

“It has been 11 years since I have been staying here. This road had never been tar sealed before,” the 53-year-old said.

“But now there is no longer any dust or dirt that will dirty my granddaughter’s school uniform.”

Another resident Waisale Seru said the newly-tar sealed road had made a difference.
