Walesi $125 Million Investment Not A Waste: Usamate

Opposition Member of Parliament Jone Usamate de­fended the $125 million investment in the Digital Television Initiative (WALESI) and challenged the Government to focus on creating their own projects in­stead of complaining.

Opposition Member of Parliament Jone Usamate de­fended the $125 million investment in the Digital Television Initiative (WALESI) and challenged the Government to focus on creating their own projects in­stead of complaining.

“Focus on your job and take it to another level,” he said.

Mr Usamate was responding to the Deputy Prime Minis­ter and Minister for Communications Manoa Kamikami­ca’s statement on the Digital Television Initiative (WALE­SI) in Parliament.

He emphasized that the benefits of WALESI are profound and generational, providing access to information and knowledge to schools, communities, and people who never had it before.
