The Minister for Communications, Manoa Kamikamica {pictured), is set to receive the Office of the auditor-general's report on the investigation into Walesi Pte Limited this week.

Mr Kamikamica disclosed this during his visit to Labasa, where he addressed ongoing concerns regarding the state-owned digital television platform.

The investigation, initiated last year, centres on allegations of excessive spending and irregularities in the operations of Walesi.

"I have heard a few concerns, and if there is anything to report to the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption, we will do it," the minister said.

Last year, Mr Kamikamica announced the inquiry to determine whether due process was followed in the platform's financial management.

This includes the allocation of funds, adherence to tender processes, vendor selection, and procurement activities since Walesi's establishment in 2015.

During a parliamentary session, the minister revealed that approximately $125 million was spent on establishing Walesi under the previous government.

The findings from the auditor- general's report are expected to provide clarity on whether these expenditures were justified and managed appropriately.
