Wardens Adopt Progressive Approach To Assault Charge

Two of the seven Fiji Corrections Service personnel charged for assaulting an inmate will take a progressive approach to the charge.
This was in the case of Vaviano Mataka and Alivereti Natobe who appeared before Magistrate Jeremiah Savou at the Magistrates Court in Suva on Tuesday.
The allegations are that the duo allegedly assaulted an inmate, 38, at Korovou Prison in February.
Related stories
Both are jointly charged with one count of assault causing actual bodily harm.
