The residents say the Lami Town Council has set a good example for other municipal councils in terms of providing adequate public conveniences for its people.

“It is a big change from what it used to be,” Ms Cevaca said.
“Before it used to be dirty and in poor condition, but after they renovated it the facility is really good.
“Now they have a user-pay system and it is good because the facility is being kept in clean condition.”
Users have to pay 20 cents to use the facility between 8am to 9pm, after which it is free of charge.
“It is safe as well because some- body is at the booth until 9pm,” Ms Cevaca said.
The other public convenience in Lami Town is located at Tikaram Park.
It is also on a user-pay mode and it is well kept and also accessible to disabled persons.
