The Water Authority of Fiji has submitted all documents and statements to the Fiji Police Force in regards to suspected sabotage at water pumping stations in different areas.

The authority’s acting team leader corporate communications Peni Shute said they had done their investigation and the matter was handed over to the Police.

He said the Police would handle the matter now and the authority would not make any further comments to ensure that Police investigation into the matter is not jeopardised.

It was revealed to the Fiji Sun by the authority’s chief executive, Barry Omundson, that sabotage at water pumping stations was a possible reason for the recent water cuts felt throughout the nation.

He said WAF investigation teams had compiled reports from the affected stations.
