Water Disruption Scheduled For Votualevu, Sabeto Tonight

The interruption in supply is to allow au­thority ground teams to carry out emergen­cy repair works to a DN300 burst main.

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) is advising its customers living in Vo­tualevu / Sabeto areas that they will be experiencing low water pressure to no water from 7pm today (28/11) to 5pm tomor­row (29/11).

Affected areas include:

  • Parts of Thomson Road (Sabeto)
  • Parts of Votualevu
  • Parts of Legalega
  • Queens Road from Votualevu intersec­tion to Barara
  • Westfield • Nasoso
  • Sabeto • Natalau
  • Parts of Waloko
  • Fiji National University (FNU) Namaka
  • Elevated areas of Waqadra
  • Elevated areas of Martintar

The authority is advising its customers residing in these areas to use water wisely for their immediate needs during this tem­porary disruption period.

Water supply shall be progressively re­stored to affected areas from 5am to 5pm tomorrow.

The interruption in supply is to allow au­thority ground teams to carry out emergen­cy repair works to a DN300 burst main.

Water carting trucks are on standby to service the affected areas during the tempo­rary disruption period.

The authority is also encouraging custom­ers to invest in storage containers or water tanks connected to the water system for storage and backup supply during any un­planned disruption that may arise due to emergency works or natural disasters.
