WATERPOL Officers Rescue 2-Year-Old Girl From Drowning

PLEASE KEEP CLOSE A CLOSE WATCH ON YOUR CHILDREN

We are once again making this plea after an incident where WATERPOL Officers rescued a 2-year-old girl who nearly drowned near Draunibota yesterday afternoon.

A team of officers from the WATERPOL Unit were passing near the area when they noticed the young child struggling in the water and they managed to quickly pull her out.

An officer took the child back to her home where a parent warned.

This incident could have turned tragic if the officers were not on hand to rescue the child, and we are again pleading with parents and guardians to please keep a close watch on their children at all times.

We will also be exploring possible negligence charges regarding this incident.
