A weak trough of low pressure lies slow moving just to the northeast of Fiji. Associated cloud and showers affects the eastern parts of Vanua Levu. It is expected to slowly drift south and affect the rest of the northern parts of the country later today.
Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Occasional showers and few thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands. Cloudy periods with some showers over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands. Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening showers.
