Acknowledging the international convention on sovereign issues, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka could not help but express empathy after hearing an account of human rights issues shared to him by a West Papuan delegation.
The delegation, led by West Papua Provincial Government (WPPG) President Benny Wenda, met the Pacific Islands Forum chair at the Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort on Denarau Island on Wednesday.
“I was happy to meet with them. I feel for them,” Mr Rabuka said after the meeting.
