The first Fijians studying at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland and West Point Military Academy met over the weekend during a football match.

Midshipmen Adrian Siu Narayan and Officer cadet Max Delai watched the Army side shut down the Navy 15 – 0 at the West Point stadium.

This is the first time Army has won since 1969.

Delai is one of two officer cadets attending West Point. The other is Sera Lawaravu. The pair have been in the US for more than a year.

Midshipmen Narayan and Osea Melibua arrived in the US in January this year to attend the New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI), a public military junior college to prepare them for the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
