‘Where is My Brother?’

The family of missing Sanil Chandra, 32, are pleading to the public for any information of his whereabouts.
This was after he stepped out to buy cigarettes near his home in Nausori on Monday night. He did not return.
According to his brother, Deepak Chandra, Sanil had told his partner Sharon that he was going to buy a roll of cigarette from the nearby shop in Manoca, Nausori.

“He stayed in China Garden in Manoca. At 8pm, he left his home with $2 only. He was wearing a vest and shorts,” Mr Chandra said.
“And he just disappeared. We don’t know what has happened to him. How can a grown man just go missing like that.”
There is a Mobil Service Station at one entrance of the street leading to Sanil Chandra’s home and on the other end is GMR Hardware.
Both buildings have surveillance cameras. There is also a mosque on the highway and there are surveillance cameras on the mosque as well.
Sister Joshmin Chandra said they had viewed the surveillance footage at all these locations but none of the cameras had captured the whereabouts of her brother.
“Where did he go? We are so worried. If anyone out there knows where my brother is please help us find him,” she said.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said investigations were continuing.
She also confirmed the missing person is wanted in a case of alleged theft.
