Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has confirmed that he has received a complaint against Minister for Justice Siromi Turaga.

“Yes, I have received a complaint,” Mr Rabuka said.

“We will now decide and we’ll move on from there.”

Australian-based whistleblower Alexandra Forwood lodged the complaint yesterday.

The complaint is against Mr Siromi Turaga’s decision to send Commissioner of Corrections Jalesi Nakarawa on extended leave last week.

The decision made by Mr Turaga was allegedly a breach of the 2013 Constitution as such decision is the prerogative of the Constitutional Offices Commission (COC) who recommend after Constitutional Officers appointments.
