The land on which the house where the three-tonne drug was found on Sunday in Voivoi, Legalega, in Nadi, belongs to the Taukei Naua of Saunaka.

This was confirmed by Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Livai Driu.

ACP Driu said he and his team met with Nadi chiefs at the Were Levu o Betoraurau in Sabeto to discuss the issue of drugs in their land.

The house is about a 25-minute ride from the Queens Road on Legalega Lane, past a dead end in Voivoi Subdivision, which leads to a narrow dirt road.

The timber framed, corrugated iron structure, which looks more like a storehouse than a home, is built on concrete foundation with visible search lights and solar panels.

ACP Driu said: “The discussion last night was the war on drugs.
