Victory for women!

This was the reaction of the Minister for Women, Chil­dren and So­cial Protec­tion, Lynda Tabuya after Parliament passed the Electoral Re gistra­tion of Voters Amendment Bill 2023 on Friday.

This means women would no longer be required to change their names on their birth cer­tificates when registering to vote as was the case leading up to the 2022 General Election.
