Victory for women!
This was the reaction of the Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, Lynda Tabuya after Parliament passed the Electoral Re gistration of Voters Amendment Bill 2023 on Friday.
This means women would no longer be required to change their names on their birth certificates when registering to vote as was the case leading up to the 2022 General Election.
