A 32-year-old woman’s dream to have her husband carry out their traditional wedding rites will not materialise.
Ivamere Cevuga, 32, learnt yesterday that her husband, Josaia Navuniwai, a fisherman in his 60s, had died on a fishing trip.
He was reported missing after he failed to return on Tuesday.

The Fiji Sun visited their residence at Nakorokula in Nadroga yesterday. She related that while she had accepted the news, she was still trying to come to terms with the loss. They have two children.
“Plans were in the pipeline to visit my family in Draiba, Navosa to present our traditional vows there to which I was looking forward to it,” Ms Cevuga said.
“That morning I told him not to go since it was pretty windy. But he loved the sea, and he has gone diving for octopus,” she said.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said his body was located by villagers.
