Woman’s Death Shocks Navua Residents
The victim’s husband reported the incident after returning from Suva yesterday afternoon, discovering her motionless with multiple wounds.

The farming community of Naitata in Navua are still reeling from the discovery of a woman’s body with visible wounds on Monday.
A resident, speaking anonymously, expressed shock over the alleged murder, noting the tight-knit community’s hope that Police will determine the cause of the woman’s death.
The case has now become an active murder investigation.

Police from the Southern Division Crime, who are heading the investigation, were at the scene when the Fiji Sun visited the area yesterday.
They are supported by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
According to initial Police findings, the 59-year-old woman was found with visible wounds by her husband.
Assistant Commissioner of Police– Crime (ACP) Mesake Waqa said the case was treated as a suspected murder, based on initial findings.

Following the report to Crime Stoppers, teams from Navua Police Station and Crime Scene Investigations (CSI) were dispatched to the crime scene.
