Women of the Then India Sanmarga Ikya (TISI) Sangam Labasa branch were encouraged to step out of their regular roles and understand their rights on equality as community contributors.

More than 50 members were part of the International Day for Women celebrations on Wednesday.

These were the remarks made by the chief guest, Meenachi Mudaliar, who is a retired school teacher and a TISI Sangam member for over 20 years.
