Work On $2.3M School Block Begins

A new $2.3 million school block will be the new addition to the Nasinu Sangam School in Narere, Nasinu.
It will have three floors, 16 classrooms, and a hall. The foundation for the construction of the new school block was officially laid yesterday.
Then India Sanmarga Ikya (TISI) Sangam president Sada Siwan Naicker said this was being done for the children of Nasinu.

“One of the ideas behind this project is to have more classrooms. Then we can reduce the number of children in the classroom,” he said.
“The new block is being built with a loan of $2 million from the BSP (Bank South Pacific), the rest is from the TISI Sangam Nasinu and National Branch.
“Education is the only way forward and that is why we are keen on doing something that will help the nation as well.”
Engineered Designs are the main project engineers for the work and they have projected for all works to end by December 2020. Mr Naicker said students would get to be in new classrooms from 2021. He added the hall was a revenue-generating scheme that would help pay for the loan.
