Worker sustains major injuries in machinery accident
It is alleged that the employee was working near an industrial machine during the day when he became entangled in the equipment.

A 47-year-old employee of Pinto Industries sustained injuries on Saturday while operating machinery at the company’s facility.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Wame Bautolu confirmed the incident and said the man was admitted to hospital while investigations continue. The victim lives on Vunivau Koro Road.
It is alleged that the employee was working near an industrial machine during the day when he became entangled in the equipment.

Pinto Industries Limited Executive Director Vishal Narayan confirmed the incident and said the company was compliant with all regulations.
He said investigations were being conducted by police and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) authorities.
Sergeant Bautolu said police were working closely with company management to determine the cause of the accident.
