Yauvoli is acting PS for Civil Service
Mr Yauvoli returns to Fiji after serving four years as the country’s Ambassador to Indonesia.

Acting permanent secretary for Civil Service and Public Enterprises Amenatave Yauvoli.
The Public Service Commission (PSC), with Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s approval, has appointed Amenatave Yauvoli as acting permanent secretary for Civil Service and Public Enterprises, starting yesterday.
Mr Yauvoli returns to Fiji after serving four years as the country’s Ambassador to Indonesia.
He previously held senior government roles, including permanent secretary for Commerce, Trade and Investment, and permanent secretary for Foreign Affairs.

He holds dual Master’s degrees with honours in development economics from the University of Wollongong in Australia and brings a wealth of experience in regional governance.
His past postings include roles with the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) in Samoa, the Secretariat of the Pacific Community in the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Melanesian Spearhead Group Secretariat in Vanuatu, where he served as executive director.
Mr Yauvoli has also contributed significantly to environmental and climate change initiatives across the Pacific.
Current permanent secretary Parmesh Chand will continue in his role until the completion of his transition to the diplomatic service.
